PSAC National email from April 18, 2023
…If there is no deal reached by 9 p.m. ET today, April 18, we will launch a national general strike for PSAC members working for Treasury Board and Canada Revenue Agency beginning at 12:01 a.m. ET Wednesday, April 19. Kerry, we are ready. Keep an eye on your inbox tonight. If we strike, we will be picketing outside key government buildings and other strategic locations across the country. We’ve made it easy to find your closest picketing location with our picket line finder. All you have to do is enter your city or postal code and find the picket location most convenient for you. |
The purpose of this strike is to put maximum pressure on the government to reach a fair deal for our members. If we have to go on strike to get this government to take our demands seriously, that’s what we’ll do. Your bills. Your families. Your futures can’t wait. You deserve better. |
You can attend any picket line and scan in with your personalized barcode or PSAC ID when you arrive. If you don’t have this information, don’t worry, just show up at a picket line and a member of the PSAC team onsite will help you get signed in manually. Your PSAC regional office may also reach out to you about specific details for a picket line near you. Remember to also refer to our frequently asked questions page for answers to everything you need to know about the strike, including information about strike pay, essential workers, and more. This is a truly historic moment for workers. We’ll show this government what’s possible when we pull together. |
In solidarity, PSAC team |
