Please make sure you understand the difference between a strong strike vote and actually going on strike. It is important for our locals to make it clear to the employer that if theyv are not going to engage respectfully and seriously in the bargaining process that we will not sit quietly and accept their bad faith tactics.
The prospect of a strike is scary, especially in this economy. That’s why it is so important to show our story for our bargaining team to take whatever actions are necessary. The great irony of bargaining is that strong support for strike action is the best way to avoid a strike.
