Let’s stand together

August 12, 2026

Sisters, Brothers and Friends,

On Wednesday, August 19, we encourage all UTE members to wear black, whether you’re in the workplace, attending meetings in person, or participating virtually.

On the third Wednesday of every month, this simple act but meaningful gesture demonstrates our solidarity and collective strength. It sends a clear message to the employer that UTE members stand united behind our bargaining team and alongside federal public service workers who continue to face the same challenges at the bargaining table. We deserve fair wages, better working conditions, and a fair collective agreement that reflects the value of our work.

Every member who participates helps strengthen our message. When we act together, we demonstrate the power of our union and our determination to achieve a fair deal. The more visible our solidarity, the more difficult it becomes for the employer to ignore.

On August 19, take action. Wear black. Encourage your colleagues to join you. Stand with your union, support our bargaining team, and show that UTE members are united, engaged, and ready to fight for the respect and fairness we deserve.

Mark your calendar for the next day of action: Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

In solidarity,
Adam Jackson
National President

Eddy Aristil
2nd Vice President
